Summer entertainment at its best! Each week different local bands perform from a wide variety of genres. Intermission acts feature community organizations and entertainers.

Join us each week of Marketfest for live, outdoor music from 6-9 pm g on two stages: the Kowalski’s Markets Gazebo Stage (in Railroad Park) and the White Bear Mitsubishi Stage (in the Back Lot). Local community groups and bands will perform during intermission (7 pm at the Gazebo, 7:15 pm at 3rd Street.)

Funktion Junction

We are Funktion Junction, a dance band that specializes in recreating the sounds of the 70’s – Everything from the Motown sound of the Temptations and Marvin Gaye to the 70’s disco of Donna Summer.

Bare Bones Band

The music of the Bare Bones Band is as varied as the Minnesota weather. If you don’t like it one minute it’s bound to change soon. There is a good variety of cover tunes in classic rock, folk, country, blues and ethnic music.

Pete Kavanaugh Group

Pete Kavanaugh Group is a Blues Rock Jam Band led by “Chief Jam Coordinator” Pete Kavanaugh (former guitar player for GB Leighton) that chase various musical digressions on original and cover songs, giving the nod to influences ranging from Albert Collins, Howlin Wolf, Meters, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, the Beatles, Neil Young and many others.

Salsa del Soul

Salsa del Sol a high energy, 9 piece orchestra that performs music of the Spanish speaking Caribbean – salsa, cha-cha, merengue, Latin jazz, bachatá, among others. The band has been making superb dance music around the Twin Cities and the Midwest region for more than a decade.

Ember Island

Ember Island is a high school supergroup of four percussionists-turned-rock musicians. Be prepared for a lot of instrument-switching and four-part harmonies, and maybe even a surprise banjo!

Brio Bass Band

Brio Brass performs their own unique arrangements written specifically for its members. Their large repertoire features a broad spectrum of musical styles. Audiences are entertained with fluid ballads, pop of all eras, show tunes, funky rock and LOTS of JAZZ!

Jake Nelson

St. Paul Singer/songwriter Jake Nelson has been making a splash in the Minnesota music scene since 2015. His self-titled, independently-produced debut album, released in June 2017, has made some buzz and gotten radio play on a local, national, and international level. Inspired by artists ranging from Lee Brice to Phil Collins to Frank Sinatra, his style is a unique blend of alternative country with a Jake spin.

Scary Numan

Founded in 2009. We know you have a secret love of those dancy New Wave hits of the ’80s. Scary Numan will also twist things around with Mash-Ups and Strange Arrangements to make you smile. Of course we’ll throw in a few ’70s and even something new just to keep things exciting. ​

The Castaways

The Castaways are a nationally-known Minnesota based rock’n’roll band that audiences have been enjoying for many years. Best known for their top ten hit ‘Liar, Liar’, the band covers favorites including Bruce Springsteen, Elvis and Buddy Holly, to the Beatles, Beach Boys, Motown artists, Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond and more!

3 Good Samaritans Jug Band

3 Good Samaritans jug band was founded in 2007 by music therapists working in the Good Samaritan Society nursing homes. Their musical selections range from traditional jug tunes, to classic rock, to blues, to modern pop songs; all done in that juggy style you’d expect.

Whiskey Stone delivers an experience that’s never watered down! Performing your favorite Rock n Roll, Pop, and Country hits, along with a few surprises along the way, there’s a little something for everyone!

Kinda Fonda Wanda

High-octane rock ‘n’ roll honky-tonk inspired by the queen of rockabilly, Wanda Jackson! The setlist includes Wanda hits and deep tracks, such as Let’s Have a Party, Funnel of Love, Stupid Cupid, Hot Dog! That Made Him Mad, Rock Your Baby, Hard Headed Woman, Fujiyama Mama, Shakin’ All Over, plus a few from icons such as Patsy Cline and Barbara Mandrell.
